Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This statement describes how ManuBook addresses the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG), the corresponding regulation, EN 301 549 and the WCAG principles of perceivability, operability, understandability and robustness.
Service
ManuBook is a browser-based platform for writing and structuring manuscripts, planning plots and characters, designing covers, collaborating with beta readers and exporting books.
Conformance status
ManuBook is currently partially conformant. Core navigation, reading, login and author workflows are designed for accessible use, but a complete independent audit of every editor, designer and export workflow has not yet been completed.
Known limitations
- The visual cover designer and some drag-and-drop interactions may be difficult to use solely with a keyboard or screen reader.
- User-uploaded images and published author content may not contain suitable alternative text.
- Generated PDF, DOCX and EPUB files are not automatically certified as fully accessible documents.
- Some print and canvas previews may require horizontal movement at high zoom levels.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier or need information in another accessible format, email support@manubook.com and include the affected page, function and assistive technology where possible.
Language note: The German accessibility information is the legally authoritative version.
